A ground bond test or ground bond testing is usually the first test performed to meet the standards of an electrical safety test specification. Electrical test meters such as a dielectric testers test insulating materials by applying a higher voltage than a component is usually rated over a specified period of time.
The result of a ground bond test is a measure of resistance value (R). If this value is lower than the limit set by the international standards specification (IEC335, IEC 950, IEC601, IEC1010, IEC598, IEC990, IEC204 ), the component passes. The electrical test meters below represent QuadTech's top of the line ground bond testers and electrical safety test equipment – Instruments for measuring high current ground bond up to 45A.
