Ion Proton Sequencer is based on the new generation of sequencing technology semiconductors. This sequencer includes new high-speed chips that can sequence a human genome with very fast turnaround time. Data analysis for the whole genome sequencing can be completed the same day on a single standalone server. The Ion Proton is highly efficient and enables to sequence and to analyze 20 genomes for a small fraction of the cost.
