Neutron Detectors and Imagers

Neutrons are constituent elements of atomic nuclei. When a nucleus is unstable or in an excited state, it can release some neutrons. Neutrons have no load and are therefore difficult to detect. Detection of neutrons is typically done with Helium 3, but the very high cost of this element pushes the development of new detection techniques (He 4, MCP…) HTDS offers the latest technologies for detecting or imaging neutron fluxes with and without Helium 3.
