With a large choice of answers of spectrum, format, sensible area and earnings, the photodiodes proposed by HTDS cover many applications in the automatism, the security and the control. Often used to simulate the human vision by covering the same spectrum, known as visible, the photodiodes are also able to detect wavelengths out of the visible field, as the UV raysor the Infrared. Sensitive to Infrared radiations, pyroelectric detectors are now a reference in motion detection (alarm, automatic lights…) Their technology also allows the gas detection (CO-CO2-HC-Freon…) thanks to specific filters. This component is also available in a advanced version "digipyro" including amplifier and digital output.
The thermopile allows a continuous measure of temperature without contact. Thermopiles flexibility allows to work with measures to the human scale (thermometers) but also on much higher values, over the 1.000 degrees (molten oven measurement, carbon disk brake…). With one of the widest ranges of the market, HTDS meets all kinds of specific demands, as well as high quantity needs for standard components.
Photon counting modules
A photon counter can , as its name suggests, the photon counting ! It is used to measure small amounts of light. Each photon produces a pulse which will last the crossing time of a measuring device (photomultiplier or avalanche photodiode): a pulse height discriminator allows to take into consideration a definite pulses range and not to suffer faults caused by the detector; a pulse shapping is then realized. Last on the counting line, the photon counter just has to count the number of pulse per second. it is simply consisting in an electronic implementing at each pulse. The photoresistances are largely used in the industry. The internal resistance of the photoresistance changes depending on the luminous intensity perceived. We find it in the products requiring adjustment depending on the surrounding luminosity: contrast control, the setting up of the automatic light, autofocus, flam control.
