Discover new applications with VCSEL technology!

23 July 2020 ─  /  Optoelectronics  by Camille Bertrand

VCSELs have been known for many years, particularly in the telecom and laser printing sectors, for which they are particularly well suited, and recently, the applications of vertical cavity laser diodes have been extended to the smartphone, automotive (autonomous driving or driver monitoring) and 3D imaging sectors. VCSEL offers low beam divergence, good temperature stability, low power consumption, design flexibility (single or multi-element) and economic advantages.HTDS benefits from Seoul Viosys’ know-how for VCSEL technology, from epitaxial growth to package integration.

Each component is tested in order to guarantee its quality and longevity (accelerated aging tests, optoelectronic tests…).

HTDS offers several levels of integration, allowing to meet various needs from standard product to dedicated solution on specifications.

Several wavelengths are available according to the applications:

  • For sensors: HTDS offers VCSEL at 850 nm and 940 nm from 1 mW to 5 W
  • For telecom: the product portfolio covers from 780 nm to 1550 nm, with a band passing from 3Gb/sec to 25Gb/sec.Do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
