Alpha Spectrometry

Alpha spectrometry is used for the detection, identification and determination of the activity of alpha emitting radionuclides. Natural alpha emitting radionuclides are part of the disintegration chains of Uranium-235, Uranium-238 and Thorium-232. The alpha particles (Helium nucleus) have very low penentration into the material, hence the need to use for high resolution thin detectors such as passive and implanted junction semi-conductors. For your measurements in alpha spectrometry, HTDS proposes to you: – A wide range of Silicon detectors – Alpha Suite: Chambers for measurements Alpha integrating power supply, MCS, vacuum pump… – AlphaVision software
