BTA‑TETRACORE detection tickets
The BTA “Bio Threat Alert” detection tickets provide a simple and rapid solution for on-site testing of surface, solid, and liquid contamination. The tickets feature 5 lines (one for each of the 5 detectable substances) that turn red in the event of a positive analysis.

Advantages
2 types of dedicated detectors for toxins and pathogens.
Results in 5–10 minutes.
Simple readout (with a dedicated electronic reader or visually).
Packaged in a sealed pouch with a shelf life of 18 months.
The BTA “Bio Threat Alert” detection tickets are portable and intuitive devices designed to provide an immediate and reliable solution for detecting potentially dangerous biological agents. They allow for rapid and efficient testing of solid surfaces, materials, and liquids directly in the field, without the need for a laboratory.
Each ticket consists of five detection lines, each corresponding to a specific biological substance (e.g., Bacillus anthracis (anthrax), ricin, botulinum toxin, staphylococcal enterotoxin B, Yersinia pestis, etc.). In the event of a positive result, the relevant line turns red, providing a clear, visual, and immediate readout for the user. This method enables rapid identification, which is critical in emergency situations.
- Response time: Results available within 15–20 minutes after applying the sample to the strip.
- Compatibility: Compatible with Tetracore LFA readers for digital analysis and data collection.
- Samples: Designed to analyze environmental samples, including suspicious powders, liquids, and surfaces.
- Sensitivity: Capable of detecting concentrations as low as 10⁶ spores/mL for Bacillus anthracis, with an overall sensitivity of 99.3 % and specificity of 98.6 %.
- Detection of biological agents in the field
→ Enables rapid identification of pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, or toxins (e.g., anthrax, ricin, botulinum toxin, etc.). - Surface contamination control
→ Used on solid surfaces (metal, plastic, equipment) to detect possible biological contamination. - Analysis of suspicious liquids
→ The tickets can be immersed in liquid samples to reveal the presence of biological agents. - Inspection of suspicious packages, letters, or materials
→ Applied in CBRN threat scenarios to check shipments or objects that may be contaminated. - Emergency response and civil security
→ Used by firefighters, law enforcement, or CBRN teams during critical situations (accidents, terrorist alerts, etc.).
